Mennonite Benevolent Society, Winnipeg, Manitoba, was organized in 1946 for the purpose of owning and operating Bethania Home for the Aged and Infirm. It has some 200 members, all from Mennonite groups in Manitoba of Russian Mennonite background, and elects 12 directors who in turn appoint an executive council to operate Bethania.
