Regehr, Jakob (b. 1841)
Jakob Regehr, elder of the Alexandertal Mennonite Church, Samara, Russia, was born at Heubuden, West Prussia, in 1841 and moved to Mariental, Alexandertal settlement, where he resided the rest of his life. He was elected minister in 1896 and elder in 1897, succeeding Johann Wiebe. In 1918 he was succeeded by his son, Eduard Regehr, who was exiled under the Communist government.
