Riedel, Georg (d. 1616)
Georg Riedel (Ruedl), a Hutterite elder, chosen preacher on 19 January 1579, at Pribitz and chosen elder on 14 March 1599, at Niemtschitz and Pochtitz. In 1610, he was deposed from his office on account of the "disgraceful and seducing art of alchemy" and laxity in performing his duty. He was then admitted as householder at Pellertitz, but because of his offensive attitude he was expelled on 16 July 1612. He died at Pribitz on 1 April 1616.
