Schneeweiss, Sigmund (16th century)
Sigmund Schneeweiss, (also called Simon in TA Bayern I), Lutheran court preacher at Ansbach, Germany, appears in the archival records repeatedly as a zealous opponent of the Anabaptists 1529-1535. He participated frequently in questioning sessions. He was apparently the composer of a theological refutation of the Anabaptists written in 1528, found in the Ansbach Archives (A.R.A. 38, 175-183) but not published by Schornbaum. He was a colleague in these matters of Andreas Althamer and Johannes Rurer .
