Stein, Diepold von (16th century)

Diepold von Stein, captain of the Swabian League, seized Eitelhans Langenmantel with his servant in Leiterhafen on 24 April 1528, and took them to Weissenborn, where they were put to death. He was thus one of the leaders of the four bands sent out by the League to eradicate the Anabaptists.
