Valley View Mennonite Church (Criders, Virginia, USA)
Valley View Mennonite Church (Mennonite Conference), located 20 miles west of Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia, is a member of the Northern District of the Virginia Mennonite Conference. Rural work was begun in this community about 1880-85 by the Northern District ministers, in schoolhouses and in the Caplingers Chapel (United Brethren) near by. In 1922 a frame church was built to accommodate the growing congregation. Preaching services are held twice a month and Sunday school every Sunday. The 1957 membership was 92. Ray Emswiler was pastor.
