Balzer (Baltzer)

Balzer (Baltzer), a Mennonite family name of the Frisian group in the Vistula Valley, West Prussia, first mentioned at Montau in 1685. In West Prussia 19 families of this name were counted in 1776, and 27 persons in 1935. Members of this family migrated to Poland, Russia (Molotschna), and America.
