Brouwer, Pieter (1820-1894)Pieter Brouwer, b. 20 October, 1820 at Utrecht, d. 15 January 1894, son of Pieter Brouwer, studied at the Mennonite Seminary, was a pastor of the Dutch Mennonite churches of Gorredijk and Lippenhuizen 1844-1857, Warns 1857-1863, and Aalsmeer 1863-1868. He published Korte Belijdenis des Geloofs (1st ed. 1850, 5th ed., n.d., 1889); Leerredenen (gehouden te Aalsmeer 1870-74) (Amsterdam, 1898), and two papers on catechetical instruction in Geloof en Vrijheid (1891 and 1893).
