College Drive Community Church (Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada)

The College Drive Community Church in Lethbridge, Alberta began as a division from the Lakeview Mennonite Brethren Church in 1979. Internal tension within the congregation began in the 1970s while Henry Unrau was pastor. Unrau, who had served at Briercrest Bible College, offended more traditional members of the congregation by installing newcomers into leadership positions too quickly. When the majority of the congregation turned against him he resigned, and with the minority formed the Lethbridge Community Church with 64 charter members.

In 1984 the congregation constructed the church on College Drive, and took the name College Drive Community Church. In 1988 the church added an educational wing.
