The congregation has been affiliated with the Association québécoise des Frères mennonites du Québec (1967-), the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1967-) and the General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches (1967-). The language of worship is French.

Église des Frères Mennonites de Ste-Thérèse began services and formally organized in 1967. The first building was occupied in 1967. Ernest Dyck is considered the founding leader of the group. The congregation originated through outreach by the Mennonite Brethren Inland Mission and Église Chrétienne de St-Jérôme.
