Eichenfeld (Yazykovo Mennonite Settlement, Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)

Eichenfeld (Dubovka) was a village of the Yazykovo Mennonite settlement, Chortitza, Russia, founded in 1869. In 1913 the village had a population of 307 and about 5,000 acres of land. During the Russian Revolution and Civil War the village was completely destroyed. In October 1919, 79 men and 3 women were murdered in a single night. The rest of the population fled.
