Geestelijke Goudschaale, DeDe Geestelijke Goudschaale is a Dutch Mennonite hymnbook. Of the first three editions no copy is extant. The first edition appeared in 1662 at Franeker, the second at Leeuwarden in 1683, but the date of the third is not known. The fourth edition, enlarged and edited by Wiger Jansen, was published at Leeuwarden, 1751. It has three parts, containing respectively 95, 76, and 17 hymns, all without notes. This hymnbook was used in some Mennonite congregations, e.g., on the island of Ameland,until about 1850. BibliographyDoopsgezind Jaarboekje (1837): 63.
