Gerrit Boeckbinder (d. 1535)Gerrit Boeckbinder (Geryt boeckebinder van Nyewenhuys), identical with Gerrit thorn Closter, a Dutch Anabaptist leader. In the fall of 1533 he was sent from Amsterdam to Münster bJan Matthijsz van Haarlem . He belonged to the revolutionary wing of Anabaptism, stayed for some time in Münster, but came back to Amsterdam. Here and at other places he baptized.
