Kesselflicker, Johannes (16th Century)

Johannes Kesselkflicker (Kesselbusser, Ketelbueter) was a deacon and active leader of the Anabaptist congregation (Christliche Brüder) at Maastricht, Netherlands. He was baptized in 1541 by Leonhard Fälber and was haled several times (1559, 1566) before the court in Jülich. He testified that he did not attend the state church services because idolatry was practiced there and that he held only baptism on confession of faith to be true baptism, the communion only a symbol.
