Moser, Nikolaus (17th/18th century)Nikolaus Moser an elder of the Swiss Mennonites in Friedersmatt near Bowil, Switzerland, who tried in vain to prevent the break between the Amish and the Reist groups. In 1709 he wrote a letter to the Mennonites in Holland on behalf of his oppressed brethren describing their desperate plight and expressing his earnest desire that they be reunited.
