Nordhorn (Niedersachsen, Germany)Nordhorn is an industrial city (pop. 50,000 in 2005) in northwestern Germany, near the Dutch border, where in the mid-20th century there were a number of Mennonites, mostly engaged in textile industries, e.g., the Stroink family. About 1880 services were occasionally held in a private house, but the plan to found a congregation was never carried out. The Mennonites of Nordhorn joined the Gronau congregation.
