Schärding (Oberösterreich, Austria)
Schärding, a town on the Inn River, 8 miles from Passau in Upper Austria (Oberösterreich; formerly in Bavaria), where there was strong Anabaptist activity by 1527, Wolfgang Brandhuber preaching here. Concerning the Schärding congregation there is little information. Virgil Plattner was executed here in 1529, Wolf Binder in 1571.
