Dirk van Borne (16th century)Dirk van Borne, a printer of Deventer, Dutch province of Overijssel, had printed and published the Groot Wonderboek by David Joris. He was seized July 1544; in January 1545 he was placed under house arrest until August 1545, and even then he was not allowed to leave the town. Dirk was not a follower of David Joris; he was a Catholic and defended himself by saying that he had not known that the book of David Joris, which Jurriaen Ketel had given him for printing, was a heretical book.
