Hendriksz, Jan (16th century)Jan Hendriksz, a Dutch Mennonite elder, was present at a conference held at Harlingen on 19 December 1566 to settle the Frisian-Flemish quarrels. Later on Hendriksz belonged to the Frisians, being a partisan of Lubbert Gerritsz and the "Mild Frisians." In 1590 he was banned by the strict Old Frisians. He became elder at Schiedam, Dutch province of South Holland, having been the preacher of this congregation since 1579. BibliographyDoopsgezinde Bijdragen (1893): 39, 81; (1909): 156 f.
