Hochfeld (Zaporizhia Oblast, Ukraine)

Hochfeld was a village near the station Akimovka in the district of Melitopol, Ukraine, South Russia, founded in 1832 by Thomas Wiens from the Altonau settlement (Molotschna), who bought 8,000 acres of land here and divided it among four descendants. In consequence of the nationalization of land in 1917 and the following years, this settlement disintegrated in 1921.
