Hoejewilt, Hendrik Albertsz (1606-1667)

Hendrik Albertsz Hoejewilt, born 1606 at De Rijp, Dutch province of North Holland and died there 14 February 1667, was a Dutch poet known as "de Rijper poƫet," a large number of whose hymns have been inserted in the Rijper Liedtboecxken of 1669 and following editions. He also published Vermaning aen de Jeugt (De Rijp, n.d.) and May-Gift van verscheyde Vogelen (Amsterdam, 1737).
