Huizinge is a small town in the Dutch province of Groningen, which already in the sixteenth century was a Mennonite center, with a congregation of Groningen Old Flemish, known by various names—Huizinge, Westeremden, Middelstum, and Huizinge and Westeremden. A meetinghouse of this congregation was built in Huizinge in 1815, but in 1863 the seat of the congregation was transferred to Middelstum, where a meetinghouse and parsonage were built in 1863.
