Kishacoquillas Valley (Mifflin County, Pennylvania, USA)

Kishacoquillas Valley, Mifflin County, Pennsylvania, is the beautiful valley of the Kishacoquillas Creek extending 26 miles (42 km.) from Mill Creek on the southwest to Reesville on the northeast, between Stone Mountain (west side) and Jacks Mountain (east side), at its widest point some 4 miles (6.5 km.) across. The chief towns in the valley are Allensville and Belleville. In the approximately 160 years since the first Amishmen came to the valley the Amish and their descendants have built solid communities, until in 1959 there were approximately 1500 baptized members, distributed among 12 congregations.
