Lobenbach is a hamlet near Stein on the Kocher River in Baden, Germany, the seat of a Mennonite congregation in the 19th century which met alternately here and in Lautenbach near Neckarsulm. Lobenbacherhof is first mentioned as a congregation in A. Huntzinger's Religions-, Kirchen- und Schulwesen der Mennoniten (Speyer, 1830) as having three families with 20 persons. In 1857, according to J. Mannhardt's Namens-Verzeichnis, it had 40 baptized members, with Christian Funk of Kochendorf as preacher. In 1888 Mannhardt's Jahrbuch calls the congregation Lautenbach-Lobenbach with Heinrich Landes as elder (1885-1918) with 52 baptized members. By 1904 it was called Lobenbach-Heilbronn in the Gemeinde-Kalender, and by 1915 Heilbronn alone.
