Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship (Surrey, British Columbia, Canada)Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship was founded by Takahiko "Yoshi" Yoshiyuki on 21 May 2000. Between May 2000 and January 2001, the congregation rented church facilities until settling on St. Helen's Anglican Church in February 2001. This arrangement allows the congregation to assemble in the afternoon and run various other programs. In May 2003, Mennonite Japanese Christian Fellowship planted a new church in West Vancouver called North Shore Japanese Church where Takahiko Yoshiyuki served as pastor for three and a half years. In October 2006, Kim Jong-Sun was installed as pastor of North Shore, while maintaining a connection through mutual encouragement and with Yoshiyuki serving as co-pastor. The membership in 2006 was 15, in 2010, 20. Yoshiyuki resigned on 24 March 2008 and returned to ministry in Japan and was replaced by Gerald Neufeld. The congregation celebrated its 10th anniversary on 29 August 2010 with around 120 people in attendance. BibliographyDueckman, Amy. "Japanese Congregation Celebrates 10th Anniversary."
