TransCanada Institute warmly invites you to "Narrating Mennonite Canada: History and/as Literature," a half-day colloquium at TransCanada Canada Institute at the University of Guelph (9 University Ave. East, Guelph, ON). The interdisciplinary colloquium includes:

    A reading by Governor General's Award-winning author Rudy Wiebe entitled "Tracking Big Bear: A Fifty-Year Story."
  • An opening address by Dr. Hildi Froese Tiessen (Conrad Grebel University College) entitled "Well then, Eric Reimer, where are you going?' Mennonites Writing Diaspora."
  • A roundtable discussion with Rudy Wiebe, Dr. Hildi Froese Tiessen, and Dr. Royden Loewen (Chair of Mennonite Studies, University of Winnipeg), moderated by Robert Zacharias (University of Guelph).
  • With an introduction by Dr. Loewen entitled "Text, Temporality, and Transcultural Identities: Writing Mennonite History."
