Arndt in gen Eschenbroich was one of the leaders (called Richter) of the Anabaptist congregation at Hückelhoven near Erkelenz in Rhenish Prussia. He founded the congregation in 1532 and was its first preacher. He was pardoned by the government, but nevertheless remained with his church.
