California Colony (Bahia, Brazil)

California was a Mennonite colony founded in 2015 in the Bahia state in Brazil. In 2020 the population of the colony was estimated at approximately 1 to 100 individuals and the land area comprised of 1,500 hectares. The colonists came primarily from Ojo de la Yegua (Mexico), El Cuervo (Mexico), Las Virginias (Mexico), and Manitoba (Mexico).
