Chinese Gospel Fellowship (then known as Vancouver Life Chinese Mennonite Brethren Church) began services in 1987, and formally organized in 1988 with 14 members. Timothy Ma, Paul Ma, and Gideon Chen are considered the founding leaders of the group, and Timothy Ma served as pastor throughout the life of the church. The congregation originated through outreach by the British Columbia Conference of the Mennonite Brethren Churches. The congregation used the Swatowese dialect, along with Cantonese (bilingual).
The congregation closed in 1995.
