The first Congreso Menonita Latinoamericano for the Southern Cone (Cono Sur) took place at [[Bragado (Buenos Aires, Argentina)|Bragado]], [[Argentina|Argentina]] ( Buenos Aires), 10-13 December 1981, under the theme, "The Non-Violent Stance and the Church's Task of Reconciliation."
