The Garden Park Mennonite Brethren Church was founded in 1955 and had a membership of 50 in 2005.  Mennonite nurses taking training in the former [[Mennonite Hospital and Sanitarium (La Junta, Colorado, USA)|Mennonite Hospital]] at La Junta, Colorado, spent time in Denver during the final months of their training.
