Digna Jacops, wife of the sailor Peter Jacopssen, of Antwerp, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned at Antwerp, Belgium, in the Scheide River on 16 March 1535. She left behind some goods, which was unusual, since most martyrs of Antwerp were poor.
