Bernardus Doornbosch was preacher of the Frisian Mennonites of Wormerveer, Dutch province of North Holland in 1764-1780. In 1780 there was some disagreement between him and his congregation, so he resigned. He is supposed to have gone over to the Reformed Church, but this is not certain. Doornbosch is the author of Godgeleerde en Zedekundige proeven (Zutphen, 1784). From 1759 to 1764 he collected a large number of sermons preached by Mennonite and Remonstrant ministers. This curious manuscript, entitled Thesaurus Theologicus (ten volumes), is now found in the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Library (Bibliotheek en Archief van de Vereenigde Doopsgezinde Gemeente te Amsterdam)|Amsterdam Mennonite Library]]. This library also contains another manuscript by Doornbosch, called De Christenleeraar . . . , a collection of extracts from theological and ethical studies and sermons.
