Eirene (Greek word for "Peace"), the name of the service program for European [[Conscientious Objection|conscientious objectors]], similar to [[Pax|Pax]] for United States conscientious objectors, which was set up in 1957 by joint action of the [[Mennonite Central Committee (International)|Mennonite Central Committee]] and the Brethren Service Committee.
