The Erb Street Mennonite Church, located in Waterloo, [[Ontario (Canada)|Ontario]], [[Canada]], was organized by settlers who came from [[Pennsylvania (USA)|Pennsylvania]] in 1810-1825--David Eby, Jonas Bingeman and Samuel Schantz. Services were held in homes as early as 1837. The meetinghouse was built in 1851 about two miles west of Waterloo and was known as the David Eby Church. In 1902 a new church was built in town, which was rebuilt and enlarged in 1950. In was known for many years as the Waterloo Mennonite Church. Among the earlier leaders were the ministers, Elias Schneider, [[Snider, Jonas (1858-1944)|Jonas Snider]] and [[Hunsberger, Noah S. (1877-1958)|Noah Hunsberger]], and the deacons Abram Hunsberger and Noah Weber. Later leaders included Newton Weber, [[Martin, Jesse Bauman (1897-1974)|Jesse B. Martin]] and Clare Shantz.

The Erb Street Mennonite Church, located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, was organized by settlers who came from Pennsylvania in 1810-1825--David Eby, Jonas Bingeman and Samuel Schantz.
