Eschenhorst (also known as Eichenhorst, Jeżewo, Jasionn, and Jasionna; now known as Jasionno; coordinates: 54.0923, 19.3438 [54° 5′ 32″ N, 19° 20′ 37″ E]; population in 1905, 202; in 2013, 250) is located approximately 9 kilometers (5.5 miles) south-west of Elbląg (Elbing), 20 km. (12 miles) north-east of Malbork (Marienburg), and 20 km. (12 miles) south-east of Nowy Dwór Gdański (Tiegenhof).

Eschenhorst was founded by Dutch colonists between 1592 and 1595. Until 1772 the village was located in what was known as Royal Prussia (also known as Polish Prussia) in the Kingdom of Poland. The First Partition of Poland in 1772 resulted in the creation of a new province in 1773, called West Prussia, in which the village was located. The village was situated in the district (Kreis) of Marienburg until the end of World War I, when it came under the jurisdiction of the German province of East Prussia. In 2013 Eschenhorst (now Jasionno) was a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gronowo Elbląskie, within Elbląg County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

The 1776 Prussian census lists two Mennonite families in Eschenhorst (Eichenhorst) with the following surnames: Harms and Quiring. The 1820 census does not list any Mennonites in Eschenhorst.
