First Mennonite Church of Champaign-Urbana (Urbana, Illinois, USA)

The Mennonite Student Fellowship of Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, USA began to meet as early as 1959. The chairperson of the first executive was Keith L. Sprunger. On 9 February 1964, the First Mennonite Church of Champaign-Urbana began to meet weekly on Sunday mornings in the Seventh Day Adventist church in Champaign. Charter members included persons from Mennonite Church (MC), General Conference Mennonite Church, and Mennonite Brethren backgrounds. Initial leadership came from within the group.
In 1967 the congregation purchased a building several blocks from the University of Illinois campus.
In 2022 the congregation was part of the Central District Conference and the Illinois Mennonite Conference of Mennonite Church USA.
