Grace Bible Fellowship Church (formerly the Chester Mennonite Brethren in Christ Church in Chester, Pennsylvania) was established in 1926 under the Gospel Herald Society, when a building was purchased. In 1936 it became part of the Pennsylvania Conference with E. B. Hartman as pastor until 1941. Grace Church became self-supporting in 1943; growth of the congregation led to extensive alterations to the Chester property in 1947. In 1950 there were 111 members and the Sunday school had an average attendance of 204.

In 1960, a site in Wallingford was purchased and the Chester properties were sold. Services were held in the Chester Y.M.C.A. until March 1963, when the church sanctuary was dedicated. In 1968, the adjoining property was purchased for a parsonage and additional parking space. In 1981 new space was added to the church building with the addition of classrooms, a gymnasium and offices.
