Heusdens, F. C. (d. 1942)

F. C. Heusdens was a Reformed missionary, who after having been active on the Indonesian island of Celebes, was in 1940 appointed as an administrator of the leper colony at Donorodjo on the island of Java. This colony was founded and managed by the Dutch Mennonite Mission Society. In March 1942, during World War II, when the Japanese captured and occupied the Dutch East Indies, a crowd of fanatical Muslims attacked the leper camp of Donorodjo, and Heusdens was stoned to death.
