Heyndrik (Heyndrick) van Dale, an Anabaptist martyr, was drowned at Antwerp, Belgium, on 3 April 1562 because he "persisted in his heresy of rebaptism." He was unmarried. He had been baptized by Joachim de Suyckerbacker. Van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror, who calls him simply Hendrik, gives 15 August 1561 as the date of the death of a group of seven martyrs which included Hendrik. This is an error.
