Holm was established in 1789. Holm (also known as Rohrplan and Tiegenorter Rohrplan; now known as Chełmek; coordinates: 54.285551, 19.143283 [54° 17′ 07″ N, 19° 08′ 35″ E]; population in 1905, 309) is located approximately 8 kilometres (5 miles) north-east of Nowy Dwór Gdański (Tiegenhof), 18 km (11 mi.) north-west of Elbląg (Elbing), 28 km (17.5 mi.) north-east of Malbork (Marienburg), and 37 km. (23 mi.) east of the regional capital Gdańsk (Danzig).

In 1820 Holm, along with Rohrplan and Krussitz, had 141 inhabitants, including 8 Mennonites. In 1935 four Mennonite families lived in Holm with the following surnames: Bückert, Epp, Regehr, and Warkentin.
Mennonites who were residents of Holm were members of the Tiegenhagen Mennonite Church.
