Catharina Friedli Imhoff, an Anabaptist martyr, was executed for her faith at Bern, Switzerland on 28 August 1537. This martyr is not found in the Dutch edition of van Braght's Martyrs' Mirror, but only in the German and English translations.

The name Imhof occurs frequently in Switzerland and the Palatinate, and is also found in Illinois.
