Jörg von Ingenheim, with Hans Schmidt, wrote the song, "O Herre Gott vom Himmelreich, Merck auff und sieh die Nothe," found in the Ausbund. Particulars about Jörg are not available. Hans Schmidt and four companions, all Hutterite missionaries, suffered martyrdom at Aachen, Germany, in 1558. Apparently Jörg was the man not named by van Braght who recanted and was set free.
