The Iowa Groffdale Old Order Mennonite settlement is situated in northern Iowa and is called the "Iowa District." This settlement was started in 2000 by John S. Nolt, Noah S. Martin, and Titus W. Stauffer. In 2011 the settlement extended into the three counties of Mitchell, Chickasaw, and Howard. As of 1 January 2011 there were approximately 105 households in this settlement. 

Cedar Valley Old Order Mennonite Meetinghouse

The Cedar Valley meetinghouse was built in 1994; its dimensions are 55 feet by 72 feet. It is located in Chickasaw County along 320th Street. As of 1 January 2011 the following ministry team served the congregation--the presiding bishop was Carl N. Hoover (ordained minister, 1999; bishop, 2001). The ministers were John O. Nolt (ordained 1994) and Nelvin G. Martin (ordained 1997), and the deacon was Titus W. Stauffer (ordained 1995).
