Mathis Kürssner, an Anabaptist martyr, apparently a member of the congregation at Horb on the Neckar, was seized with Michael Sattler after the meeting at Schleitheim in which the first Anabaptist-Mennonite confession of faith was formulated. After Sattler's execution on 21 May 1527, on the evening of the same day Kürssner was put to death with Stoffel Schuhmacher, Michel Lenzi, and the aged Geiger, at Rottenburg am Neckar, Germany.
