Katlijk was a Dutch province of Friesland, where Leenaert Bouwens in 1563-1565 baptized 20 persons. Since there was never a congregation in this town it is assumed that the newly baptized members joined a congregation in the neighborhood of Katlijk, viz., Mildam, Knijpe, or Heerenveen.
