Kettler, Johann Dietrich (18th Century)

Johann Dietrich Kettler was a magistrate at Norden, East Friesland, Germany, who successfully defended the Mennonites in a debate before the imperial court at Vienna in 1705. Five years later the East Frisian government asked him for a "detailed report" on another dispute. Thereupon he drew up a detailed account covering 48 folio pages, which is of historical value.
