Ulrich Kipher, deacon of the Mennonite congregation in the [[Emmental (Switzerland)|Emmental]], [[Bern (Switzerland)|canton of Bern]], Switzerland, was born near [[Langnau im Emmental (Kanton Bern, Switzerland)|Langnau]] in 1772.
