<em>Leitfaden</em> z<em>um Gebrauch bei gottesdienstlichen Handlungen zunächst für die Aeltesten und Prediger der Gesamt-Mennoniten-Gemeinde in Baden und anderer mit ihr verbundenen Gemeinden </em>(Sinsheim, 1921) is the title of the [[Ministers' Manuals|Minister's Manual]] used in 1954 in the Mennonite churches of Baden and Württemberg, It is an almost unchanged new edition of the formulary compiled by Ulrich Hege and published in 1876 (Sinsheim), for which the Palatine formulary and the manuscript notes of [[Schmutz, Christian (1799-1873)|Elder Christian Schmutz]] were used. The first part of the book contains the Apostles' Creed, Biblical benedictions, and greatly abbreviated prayers for public worship. The first section of the second part deals with the choosing and ordination of a preacher with or without the [[Lot|lot]], the second section with the choice and dedication of a deacon, the third with [[Baptism|baptism]], including the case of persons transferring their membership from another denomination, the fourth with visiting preachers, the fifth with [[Discipline, Church|church discipline]], the sixth with [[Communion|communion]], the seventh with marriage, the eighth with funerals and funeral prayers. A brief appendix gives the forms of the [[Oath|oath]] valid in the German states of Prussia, [[Baden (Germany)|Baden]], Württemberg, and [[Bayern Federal State (Germany)|Bavaria]].
