<span>Henrick Samuel van Lennep,<strong> </strong>born 10 February 1832 at </span>[[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]]<span>, died 24 October 1914 at Heemstede, was a jurist and well-known legal authority in Amsterdam and director of the Vesta Life Insurance Company. He served the </span>[[Algemene Doopsgezinde Societeit|Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit]]<span> as a trustee from 1869 until his death, and as treasurer from 1872 until his death. He was elected chairman of this conference (A.D.S.) three times. He also served for a long time as chairman of the [[Doopsgezinde Zendingsraad|Dutch Mennonite Mission Association]], and for 12 years as a deacon of the Amsterdam congregation. He was married to Anna Cecilia van Eeghen.</span>
